Christmas is drawing near and with all the hustle and bustle it is easy to lose sight of the reason we celebrate. The reason that we celebrate is not hard to remember, it is simple and yet we forget. We forget that a member of the Trinity came to earth as a tiny babe, and took on the form of a man. Jesus did this willingly knowing that it was only way that we as humans could be reunited with Him. His love and desire for you and I are the reason that He came ultimately to die on a cross. All so that we could be saved. Saved from the sin that so easily sways us, saved from ourselves that choose to wrong when we know to do right, saved from that which we deserve. Jesus is THE reason for the season. May we truly take that statement to heart today and remember it every day throughout the year.
Earlier this year to create an Acronym for the word Christmas to aid in creating the correct focus in my home. It is my prayer that it will help your family to focus on the reason for the season as well.
