I am a stay at home, homeschooling, help meet, and mother of two wonderful blessings; living life unfulfilled as the daughter and Princess of the King! My hubby is a self employed fisherman, and a Mainah through and through, thus we live in Maine.
I was born in the Great State of Texas and I miss it terribly! Raised a Navy Brat, I’ve seen and traveled up and down the east coast. It was through the US Navy, that we arrived in Maine and I met my hubby in 2003.
This year my hubby and I will celebrate 8 years of marriage, solely by the grace of God. How blessed we truly are each and every day on this path He has allowed us to travel.
I love to write! I love to talk, though for some reason when I do about things of importance, something gets lost when I speak. Thus I blog! I pray that God will use the words He places on my heart, my life experiences ~ both the good and the bad ~ to encourage other women in the race that God has set before them!
I thrive on music, coffee, sweet tea, hot tea, reading and gardening in my “spare” time!

My dad is from Maine, and I love it there. He grew up in the Penobscot Bay area and we go back as often as we can. I’m in southwestern NH. 🙂 So hello, neighbor! I’ve been really blessed by your blog. Thanks for hosting and for just being willing to let God work through you here.

I tried to download the Kindergarten Penmanship 1 Cor. 13:5 page and I get that it is not on your site. I am wondering what I am doing wrong.
Thanks for the help.

Hi! Just wanted to drop a comment after reading about you, because we were in Maine at the same time! My husband was Navy and we were stationed at NAS Brunswick for 7 years-from 2002 to 2009. Then we had to move when they closed the base. We were in Florida for 2 years. We are now in Texas, where my husband is from (Corpus Christi area). But OH! How I MISS Maine! My greatest friends live there and most of my children were born there, and I would love to still be there! But God had other plans for us so I guess it’s not meant to be!
Anyway, just wanted to share. God bless!

I found your site through a link my friend shared on Facebook. When we moved I left behind a whole community of like-minded women. I plan on using your blog for encouragement in the face of great opposition here. We are living in a dry and thirsty land and your obedience to God’s word is like streams of water!

Oh yes, I understand the differences being a struggle. I am very different than most in my community/life. Praying that God’s words bring life to your heart. (((hugs))) and prayers!

Hi there, stopping by from Your Thriving Family. I’m an old homeschooling mom since 1984! I must say, you don’t look old enough to be married 7 years or be a mom! Now please, you must explain to me-what does crunchy mean in your description of yourself?
