At the end of a long, hard day there’s nothing like the sound of a running stream, or crashing waves upon the sand.
What is it about water? The sound is so…..refreshing……the taste is the same…….refreshing….
Jesus offers us living water (John 4:10). He IS the living water.
If the taste and sound of physical water can sooth our minds and hearts. Can you imagine how our souls can be refreshed with Jesus the living water?
He refreshes our thirsty souls if we just will come unto Him. Being still. “Drinking” in all He is and all He will always be.
Why is it that at the end of the day we search for peace? Calm? Refreshment?
Wouldn’t our days be less stressful and enjoyable if we were “refreshed” throughout our days?
Knowing these things is entirely different than actually doing them. I know this to be true, as I’m sure you do too.
This day….this week…..I encourage you (and I will be praying) that each of us would come before our Savior and be refreshed throughout our day.
Don’t just wait for your soul to run dry ~ run to Him, reach out to Him ~ pray throughout your day for His living water to fill you ~ before you run dry!
Praying for refreshment from the Living Water this week for us all!

We live on the river and it is a wonderful soothing balm to my soul when I am rushed and weary. Watching the ripples on the shore, the birds flitting from rock to rock is so peaceful!
Praying to be filled with the living water today!

Beautiful!
We had a stressful week last week–my fil has cancer and the doctors decided he was too weak to get more treatment-on Sunday, after spending days at the hospital, we went river tubing and it was just so relaxing. Water is amazing that way.
Thanks for linking up!

Theresa, I am glad that you stopped by. We lost my fil to cancer in April, and I lost my grandfather to cancer almost 10 yrs ago. I will be praying for you and your family through this very difficult time. Water is amazing, calming most any storm you may be going through. May you be filled with the Living Water today. Blessings and prayers!

So true. Many times we wait until we are dry to realize we need refreshment. I thought of the ten virgins and their lamps of oil when I read this post.

“Don’t wait…” —I love this. So true. I am up now before my kids and husband and that is exactly what I am doing. Getting filled up. This reminds me to continue throughout my entire day. Thank you for a very much needed reminder.
