Finding Your Life In His

How many times have you heard your life is not your own?

Nowadays you hear things such as….”Do what makes you happy”

This is not truth…God made us for a reason….happiness is not mentioned.

We (as wives) were made to be help meets…

God created Adam, gave him an occupation, appointed him as ruler of the planet, endowed him with a spiritual outlook, gave him commands, and specified his occupational duties.

God gave Eve to Adam to be HIS helper, not his partner. She was designed to serve, not to be served, to assist, not to veto his decisions.

Are you there? Are you his helper or his partner? If you aren’t fulfilling your calling from God, then stop. Seek His help, His strength for your “new” calling.

Don’t wait.

Life is now. Find your life in his. <— Share This Truth

God made us women to be help meets, and it is in our physical nature to be so. It is our spiritual calling and God’s perfect will for us. It is the role in which we will succeed in life, and it is where we will find our very greatest fulfillment as a woman and as a saint of God.

When we fight God’s will and our husband’s dreams, we are frustrated and disappointed. If our husbands are kind, Steady Men, they will eventually become discouraged and give up trying to please us. If our husbands are Command Men, they may leave us behind and find a loving woman. If our husbands are Visionaries, they will yell and make our life miserable.

Life is full of choices. How you choose to respond will help decide your fate in life. Life is now.

You will be amazed at how God will fill you full of himself.

Someday people will say to you, “Your personality is just a happy type, and that is why you enjoy life. Isn’t that right?” You can laugh and know that being in God’s will is the only thing that makes you full of joy.

By now you know that it will take supernatural wisdom for you to come to know, accept, and appreciate your man as God made him.

Praying with you, that God will be the strength you need as you begin this journey and as you continue to fulfilling God’s calling for you!

It is a heavenly calling ya know! 🙂

Misty, this line especially gets to the bottom of the man/wife issue as a Christian:
“Life is full of choices. How you choose to respond will help decide your fate in life. Life is now.”
Laying down our lives and dying to self has to start with our spouse first.

I look forward to reading more here…

Yes, dying to self….putting others above that which we would like. That is so much easier to say than do sometimes 😉 Thank you for stoppin in at my corner! Blessings! 🙂

I find that when speaking with friends on the issue of marriage and how I make it work, even though I’m not June Cleaver, is that I’m there to support him, to make sure that I meet his needs. In turn, he works to meet mine. I consider us trying to “out love” each other. Not particularly trying to make myself happy. Almost 6 years of marriage, 10 years together.

Amen! That is wonderful! 🙂 Thank you for stoppin by and sharing your advice! Blessings! 🙂

This reminds me of the great marriage book, Love and Respect. We need to respond to the way God has wired us as women and show respect to our husbands in all we say and do. Thanks for this insight!

Yes, that is a good book! 🙂 Respect is key! 🙂 Thank you for stoppin by! 🙂 Blessings!

You are right. God does not mention our happiness. He commands our duty as, among other things, our husband’s helpmeet. Insofar as finding our fulfillment in our husbands needs and desires, however, I have discovered a beartrap. It can, and sometimes does. take our focus off God. I find I best serve my husband when I give my first and best to God.

Yes, serving and living for God in turn will guide us to being the help meets God created us to be! Thank you for stopping by my corner! 🙂 Blessings!

Most women today do not see that their life is to be an extension of their husbands. No, they lead their own lives.. But it is not until we become our husband’s help meet that we fulfill our true purpose in life. That looks different in different marriages, because each husband needs something different to be completed. I found the book, “Helper by Design” to be a great resource for figuring out how to apply that to my life. Keep on being the woman God created you to be and helping other women to be that, too!

That is so true. It is hard to say no to self and yes to God’s plan. You have to choose to die to self. Something that does not come easy. Thank you for your kind words and encouragement! Blessings!
