Do you know what you do that “speaks” love to your husband the most?
Growing up I often heard that “the way to a man’s heart is through his stomach”. I’m not so sure you’ll win any man’s heart by what you cook. You’ll certainly get his attention (either good or bad LOL), but I doubt you’ll win (or lose) his heart.
The question is what do you do that “speaks” love to your husband?
My husband always says actions speak louder than words. So, I do my best to stay busy around our home showing him, that I love him by doing so.
Whether it be keeping the home tidy, organizing closets, filling the wood box, or cooking dinner; my actions “speak” love to my husband.
Some ways that your husbands might say love is “spoken” to them could be; words, time together, respect, intimacy, etc.
If you don’t know what the key to “speaking” love to you husband is, I recommend that you ask him.
This is a key that you want to have in your hand! It will help unlock his heart, and bring y’all closer as a couple. By asking your husband what “speaks” love to him, you are showing preference to him. He will want to answer you, because you’re putting him first!
Here are some ideas to get you moving in the direction of “speaking” love to your husband!
Remember to use the key to his heart, “speak” love to him his way!
If your husband says that love is the spoken word, then try leaving a sweet note on his speedometer, send him an email at work, or write him a letter and leave it by his coffee cup.
Time together becomes a little more difficult when kiddos come along, but it’s very important. It is especially important if it’s how love is “spoken” to your hubby. Try having an ice cream after the kiddos go to bed, sit on the porch and chat over coffee as the sun rises, or take a walk around the block.
Respect is often placing our husband, his wants and needs above anyone else. This shows that we prefer him above all others. He must know that he is king at home, and that his desires and feelings are most important to you (2nd to God alone).
Intimacy requires time and selflessness. Sometimes it’s not on our schedule for the day, but we need to ensure we are fulfilling our husbands through intimacy. We have the ability to strengthen and protect our marriages through the intimacy that God provided in marriage.

This is very true. We as wives have to learn what speaks to our husbands the most. Every person is different and what reaches one may not reach another. Thank you so much for sharing.

Good Morning! I am coming to you from Monday Musings.
What a compassionate and useful post! I love your down-to-earth advice. If you don’t know what your husband wants, ask him! But I forget to do that all the time!
How fortunate your husband is to have you as his wife!
Nice to meet you today 🙂

Sometimes I think we expect them to come to us with what they want, when men are very straight and to the point. They would prefer to be asked, it’s something I must daily remind myself of! Thank you so much for stoppin by! Blessings!
