Waiting WITH Patience

I tend to be hasty in my decision making, while I’m married to a slow decision maker.

I’ve never had an over abundance of patience, so between being a mother and my hubby, I’m quite sure God is trying to grow me in patience.

Currently we are faced with a situation, which requires a difficult choice. The choice will affect our entire family.

As a help meet I have discussed things about this situation with my hubby, and I am continually praying God’s direction will be clear to him.

It is not my decision to make since it affects the entire family.

So…..I must pray…..and seek patience.

Sometimes it feels as if nothing is happening and no progress is being made.

It is then that I am reminded that often God works in ways I can not see. (Jeremiah 33:3 KJV)

My impatience with the situation will not make God work any faster. In face this is yet the perfect time for me to work on my meek and quiet spirit.

Through this time I actually have the opportunity to work on many things…..

Patience……a meek and quiet spirit……prayer……submission…..

God’s ways are always perfect (Psalm 18:30)

He will light our path when we follow His Word (Psalm 119:109)

Peace is given unto us (John 14:27)

May we remember to wait with patience, and that “….all things work together for good.” (Romans 8:28 KJV)

  1. Waiting can be so difficult, can’t it? Especially for those of us who process quickly and make quick decisions! I pray you’ll receive the patience you desire. Thanks for your thoughtful post.

  2. It is so true that it is difficult to wait. And yet, God’s delays does not mean that He is inactive. He is still at work even when we cannot see Him at work. It is such a hard lesson to learn. Thank you for this lovely post & reminder. Needed it this morning. I was your neighbor at Soli Deo Gloria & am glad that I was!
    Blessings,

  3. I really liked your post. I can definitely relate. There are so many things that I want answers to now. I have a tendency to ask ‘what’s next,’ but I know that God wants me to be patient and enjoy my present. It’s much easier to say than to do!

Praying for peace for you during your time of waiting!

    1. Now is definitely how I like answers too 🙂 Waiting is not easy, but watching what God does through the waiting helps me be patient. Though I’m still not great at the patience bit 😉 Thank you for your prayers and for stoppin by! Blessings!

  4. Excellent post. It is very difficult to see the time clicking away while we wait on our husbands to make decisions! I think you’ve quoted some excellent scriptures for this situation, and yes, God is teaching you patience! One of those classes we never quite graduate from I’m afraid! 🙂

Thanks for linking up with me for Marrriage Monday!
