Craziness vs. His Place with Wisdom Wednesday Link Up

Life can be so crazy sometimes. School, sports, music, on and on the list goes.

Recently we were singing the song “You are My World” at church and the words really hit me.

“You are my world…..nothing can ever take your place…”

As I stood there singing, worshiping my Savior.  I felt Him speak to my heart.

“Are you reading the words? Are you taking them to heart? Do you really mean it?”

Lately I’ve been struggling to find my joy….my reason for pushing through each day.

This song was my heart’s cry, He is the one I live for, He is my world….BUT in all the craziness this world brings….He showed me that the first thing that has been getting left behind……

is Him……

Soccer calls….school grading must be done….art classes must be attended….

Midst the busyness of my current season MANY things have been taking His place.

I must re-evaluate my schedule. I must re-align my focus.

He is my world. He is my God. NOTHING must EVER take His place! <– Truth! Share it!

How do you remain balanced? Keeping Him first in your every day life?

  1. Thanks for the encouragement. Somehow I don’t think Jesus walked around with a calendar app. on his cell phone to keep Hie to do list. Thank you for the link up.

  2. Sometimes I wonder if the idea of “all I need is God” is really true. God created the church to be His hands and feet. We need to be connected to one another because God works through people most of the time. So while it all boils down to God, we need people too. Does that make any sense? And God has given us work to do, even mundane things like cooking and cleaning. It’s all good. I don’t know — I’ve been thinking a lot about this and trying to get the right balance.

Thanks for linking up at Life:Unmasked!

  3. Yes, today is an example of business!! But knowing I would have to leave early and get home late, I did my bible studying last night. Keep on pressing on through the years you are in. Just your strong desire to please the Lord will keep you focusing on Jesus. Don’t take your eyes off Him. I’ve been there. I’ve had times when I look back and wonder if I was faithful with my Quiet Time. If I did it all over again I would be much more faithful because it is the only thing in life that really matters and it keeps us acting and reacting in a godly manner.
