My boo turned 10 just about a month ago, and he is growing up so fast.
From cheek only kisses, to no holding hands in public, and the grown up conversations are popping up too.
I had the wonderful opportunity to discuss God directing you to move, when it’s really hard and you don’t want to deal with change.
I was able to talk about how God always wants the best for us, and if He’s directing you to move then that move would bring about something better than you have now.
This wasn’t an easy conversation, but it was our first important grown up one.
Looking back I know I didn’t come up with the right words throughout that conversation. I know God was giving me the words to speak to his tender heart.
Now I must strive to remember that moving with God’s direction always means He has something better for us.
It’s always interesting when you have to practice what you’re teaching your children.
I’m so thankful for the opportunity to raise my children knowing and loving the Lord, ensuring they know He always wants the best for us, even when we don’t understand the circumstances.

Thank you so much for being a light in my life. I’ve nominated you for the Beautiful Mama award: http://www.100lbcountdown.com/blogger-award/a-beautiful-mama/
Thanks so much hun! That’s so sweet! 🙂 I will get this reposted and passed on this weekend! (((hugs)))
It is a wonderful place to be when you are able to rest in Him and know that with each unexpected turn is His plan for something better for us. May your “God” conversations with your son give him a Christ-centeredness. God bless, Maria at Delight Directed Living
Amen! Oh the beauty of resting in Him! 🙂 Thank you for your kind words and for stoppin by! Blessings!
Thank you for hosting the linkup party today. I enjoyed reading several of your posts too!
🙂 You’re always welcome! Ty for taking the time to poke around a bit. 🙂 Blessings!
awww <3 mama and I know just exactly what you mean in both the hardness of those conversations and the thankfulness to raise kids with God.
<3 Yes, hard, but so very thankful for the opportunity! :) Love ya!
Yes, and sometimes what is best is what is hard.
So good to know the hard stuff too is for our good.
Blessings on you as you share this time with your son! My oldest is 10 too and I’m loving the ‘adult’ conversations (though I feel so unwise most of the time!)
Oh yes! Unwise, so true! I definitely know God is in on all those “adult” conversations, I couldn’t come up with the answers on my own! 🙂 Thank you for stoppin by! Blessings!
