Reflection 2013: Blog with Link Up

This is the last post in my Reflection 2013 series, and I must admit I’m a bit sad to be closing out another year. At the same time I can’t wait to see what God is going to do in the coming year.

If I could have seen in January 2013 where my little blog has come to now, I wouldn’t have believed it possible. I know though that all things done here were not of my doing, God is the master of “impossibilities”.

My First eBook

Just before 2012 closed out, God laid on my heart the need to write an eBook on all that I had been through in my difficult years of marriage. The craziest part of it was that I felt Him leading me to have it launch on New Year’s Day 2013. If I remember correctly this direction was given 4-5 days prior to the new year. As God always does, He made the impossible possible. How thankful I am that I had a willing heart to follow His direction. “Unfulfilled: A Help Meet’s Journey” was launched on Jan. 1, 2013.

Help Meet Corner

Another dream that I had was to include other wives who were passionate about their roles as Help Meets to their husbands. It was a big dream for my fairly new, small corner here at SHH. Yet, I went out on quite a few limbs, and was blessed with several contributors to “Help Meet Corner”. It has been an amazing journey over the last year, becoming friends with them, being encouraged by them and learning from them. How blessed my life has been by these dear sisters.

My Contributor Commitments

Over the last 10 months I have been blessed to be part of several other blogger’s contributor teams and had several opportunities to guest post for friends as well. It has been an honor and a humbling experience to be part of the missions of other sisters in Christ. Thank you all for sharing your space with me.

 My Writing

Watching God transform the way I write and what I write about has been wonderful to watch. What began here solely as a marriage encouragement blog has become so much more. My writing roots will never be forgotten, but I am thankful that God has enabled me to write passionately about other topics that I am passionate about as well.

My Blog’s Future

I hope that you will follow me to my new space, where I will remain myself just as I am here. God has been working on me, and I’ve grown from a young lady here at SHH to a woman with a life of Beautiful Ashes. Beautiful Ashes because God is faithful….
