Becoming Feminine with Lilla Rose {Review & Giveaway}

Striving to Become More Feminine

Recently I have been striving to be more feminine, and seeking ways to do so. A dear friend shared her post Modesty vs. Femininity with me, and it confirmed everything that I had been praying about and the changes I had begun making. I was thrilled to find I was not alone in what I’ve been striving towards, and what my heart was longing for.

One way that I had been struggling with managing was my hairstyle. As a daycare provider, homeschool mom I tended to pull my hair into a knot or ponytail just to keep it out of the way and because it was easy.

Feminine Hairstyles with Lilla Rose Flexis

I had seen Lilla Rose throughout my blogging and originally I just thought they were pretty. Along this journey though I began to wonder if they could be the answer to my feminine hairstyle struggles.

My blog designer graciously offered her consultants name and email to me. I wrote Laura in hopes of deciding which size flexis my daughter and I would need for different hairstyles. After exchanging a few emails she asked if I would be interest in hosting a review and giveaway with the Lilla Rose products I had selected! While this was not what I sought, I was thrilled to participate and share my experience with you!

My daughter is 8, very active with thin curly hair, and I have thin wavy hair. So the first step was to figure out what size flexi we would need. After watching the videos on Laura’s website, I decided that we would need the XS and possibly a S for the tails up and french twist style. Laura had one of one of each sent to me within a week, and I put one in as soon as I received it!

Each of these clips are beautiful, and very well made. I was surprised at the sturdiness of the flexis, since they must be flexible for different hair thicknesses, types, etc. I’ve had a great time trying different styles with my hair and have been thrilled with the ease of use.

I found that with my daughter, she is too active to wear a flexi while playing. From running around, to climbing trees, to sword fighting with her brother, it just couldn’t withstand all of the activity. We have been using the XS Horse Named Rose flexi for church, and she loves using it!

With my hair, I have been using the same XS clip for a ponytail, while the S Scrollwork ButterflyΒ flexi works beautifully for tails up, french twist, and any other type of up-do that uses all my hair.

I am very happy with our flexis and look forward to discovering more ways to using them in becoming more feminine!

    I’ve never had a Lilla Rose flexi, but they are gorgeous. I love all of the dangly ones, but I’m not sure how practical they would be with grabby hands! πŸ™‚ I would need one that could put up with my rough and tumble son! πŸ™‚ Thanks for reviewing and hosting the giveaway! I would LOVE to win and try one out for free!
