Faithfulness in My Bible Reading & Prayer Time w/Linky

Fruits of the Spirit Bible Curriculum

This year we are using “Learning to Speak Life: Fruits of the Spirit” as our main Bible curriculum. Each month, we are studying one of the Fruits of the Spirit.

During the kiddos personal devotion time, they are using a concordance to find 3 verses on the specific Fruit we’re studying. They then copy them down, and in the evening we discuss each verse they selected.

In addition to all of the great ideas in “Learning to Speak Life: Fruits of the Spirit“, I also added weekly actions to further encourage using each fruit.

Love in Action

Week One

~ Do something for someone to show that you love them

Week Two

~ Give someone a small token showing your love for them

Week Three

~ Speak specific loving words to someone

Week Four

~ Pray for someone loving them through prayer

Teaching Faithfulness Through Personal Time with the Lord

In order to teach my children the importance of being faithful by being in God’s word and spending time in prayer. I made a chart for them so that they can see their faithfulness in spending time with Him.

Stopping by from Company Girl Coffee

This is great! We read the Bible together each night, and we are more intentional about praying for our loved ones, and thinking of actions for meeting the needs of those prayer needs, if we can.

Teaching our children to pray, especially for others and then reaching out to those we can is SO important! Thank you for stoppin by! Blessings!

Great chart. Always good to visually see how we progress with something. It spurs us on – kids or adults alike!
Thanks for linking up at Essential Fridays.

What a great way to encourage your children to grow in the Lord. I have a 2 year old little boy and each night, we do a devotional with him. We are also working on teaching him the following questions:

    1) Who made you? God
    2) What else did he make? All things.
    3) Why did he make all things? For his Glory.
    4) How do we glorify Him? Loving and obeying Him.
    5) Why do we glorify Him? Because He made me and sent Jesus for me.

Next week, we start tot school homeschool and it will all be christian based. Loving growing my little one in the Lord!

That is great! Starting young is the best way to go! As God’s word says “Train up a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not depart from it”! Great job mom! Thank you for stoppin by! Blessings!
