Street Lights, GPS and Headphones with Wisdom Wednesday Link Up

My husband and I have a very different view on how the radio and volume control should be used in the car.

I like it on…..he typically prefers quiet…..

I turn the volume up if it’s a fav song of mine or my lil blessings…..he doesn’t touch the dial…..

Lately I’ve really enjoyed the chorus to Capital Kings newest song “You’ll Never Be Alone”.

I’m the street lights that guide you home
I’ll be the GPS when you’ve lost your phone
I’ll be the song that’s rockin’ in your headphones
I’ll show you the signs to let you know
You’ll never be alone

How often we go alone in our lives and we need direction, encouragement, and want to just go home.

Where do we look for the answers to these questions? In the middle of our wanderings whom do we turn to?

Home….God is waiting for us……His word is our light…..

Direction…..His word guides us every step we take…..

Encouragement…..His word is the bread we are to live on…..

So this day may God and His word be that which you turn to for all that you need.

In the meantime, may this song be an encouragement to you as it has been to me….

Remember, you are never alone…..

Thank you so much for sharing these thoughts over at WholeHearted Home. Music can be uplifting and encouraging.

      Yes it can! 🙂 Blessings!

I love the music loud. So I can drown out the noise of the five crazy monkeys in the back of my ‘Burb. 😉 Especially if it is a power Ballad or something we can really belt out. Love this song. 🙂

    1. simplyhelpinghim

🙂 LOL! Yes, music loud is the best music 🙂 Blessings!

We have a policy in our car – whoever is driving picks the music but I must say, my husband is very generous and I can often listen to music instead of a ballgame 🙂

    1. simplyhelpinghim

Yes, your car your radio is our rule as well, but the volume is the biggest thing with us! LOL! 🙂 I am glad that we are blessed to have men let us listen to music instead of sports 😉 Blessings sis!

What a fun post! I love the song! I bet my tween has that one download onto his ipod. My husband and I are like that with the thermostat. I like it warmer; he prefers it cooler. Thanks for sharing

    1. simplyhelpinghim

Oh yes, the thermostat as well! 🙂 I’m a Texas girl married to a Mainah fisherman. That is something we definitely disagree on! LOL! 🙂 Thanks for stoppin by! Blessings!

I had to laugh – you’ve just described Robert and me… except I’m the one with the preference for quiet, and Robert would have music all the time! He’ll often call to me and want to play a specific song on YouTube because he’s so inspired by the words!

    1. simplyhelpinghim

🙂 I have my moments when quiet is my best friend 😉 Though the words on my dining room wall speak my heart 🙂 “Music is the voice of the soul” 🙂 Blessings!

Ha ha. My husband and I are just the opposite. With 5 kids extra noise in the car sends me over the edge. lol No really, I’ll all of the sudden feel like yanking all my hair out and screaming at the top of my lungs when I realize it’s the radio. See what my sweet husband has to deal with? 🙂

    1. simplyhelpinghim

🙂 At times I am like that, but if it’s a favorite song of mine then look out the volume is going up! 🙂 Thanks for stoppin by! 🙂 Blessings!
