Well, my friend, thank you for the huge dose of grace by allowing me to take my time in sharing my heart here. (I’ve really stretched the idea of better late than never, haven’t I??) So, without further ado, here are my responses. Thank you again for honoring and supporting my little corner of the blog world, my friend.
1. What is your #1 dream?
Right now, it’s to someday have a digital SLR camera. I know that sounds small scale as far as dreams go, but my photography-loving soul has longed for one for so long now that it would absolutely thrill me. (Aside from that, the Lord’s in such a process of refining my dreams that I’ll have to get back to you on the larger-scale ones when He’s done.) 🙂
2. What is your favorite scripture?
Jeremiah 29:11. I cling often to God’s promise to me there – plans not to harm, but to give me hope.
3. What is 1 thing you will change in 2013?
Hmm. Admittedly, my perfectionist-tending heart and mind can get too easily preoccupied with change and “progress” that I can miss the point of Him. So one thing I WON’T change in 2013 is seeking to turn my eyes upon Jesus. Again. And again. And again.
4. What would you tell yourself at 16?
I always struggle with this question – probably because there are so many more things that I’d tell myself at TODAY’s age than 16. 😉 Life’s quite a journey, eh?
5. Where would you live if you could choose anywhere
Probably right where I live right now. I really like NC.
6. What is your favorite movie?
I’m one of four girls, so Little Women has always been a favorite of mine. And Sense & Sensibility, too.
7. What is your favorite Bible story? and why?
The story of Gideon has become incredibly close to my heart because it’s a story of God’s power made perfect in one man’s weakness. God considered Gideon a mighty warrior not because of what Gideon could do, but because he knew that He desperately needed God. It’s a story of the glory of dependence (which flies in the face of today’s self-sufficient paradigm).
8. What is your favorite ice cream?
Would you believe I’m one of the few people on the planet who doesn’t care for ice cream? OR chocolate!
9. Do you have a blog mission statement? If so what it is?
(Oh how I love that the Lord brought me back to these questions at this particular time – right after having written the piece about The One Strategy Your Blog Can’t Do Without.)
The purpose of Truth in Weakness is to offer:
– A safe place for hurting and imperfect hearts call home
– Salve of Truth for wounded, weary, and imperfect souls
– Intimate invitations to cling to the Cross
10. What’s the best advice you’ve ever received?
It came in the form of a question. And the question was: Is God more concerned about your comfort, or your character?
Embracing the answer to that question has been a life-long journey for me.
11. What’s your favorite color?
Yellow. Because it’s chipper – just like gerbera daisies. 🙂

We’ve only been at this for a little more than three months now and have so very much to learn. We are blessed that you would think of us in such a way. We’ve been trying to come up with a way to join in the fun, but this being Christmas and having a Christmas Cookie Recipe Exchange going on right now with our readers we are having trouble posting all we need to before the New Year. In fact some posts have already been pushed off until next year, so I’m afraid we won’t be able to post anything this month, but I hope you’ll think of us once more in the New Year! OK?
