I was truly touched this week when I stopped by Melissa’s blog and read her post “As I Sit Rocking My Son“.

This post beautifully captures what mother’s often think. Time passes too quickly.

Melissa writes about the daily adventures with her toddler son lovingly referred to as Destructo over at Adventures with Captain Destructo.  She started blogging just to see if she was any good at it and if people would read what she had to say.  Within about two posts, Melissa was addicted to the blogging world and loves to share her knowledge and insights with her readers.  She prays for God to direct her blogging to help others learn, feel encouraged, or just to laugh on the rough days.

When she isn’t working, she spends her time cleaning up puzzle pieces, trying to keep Destructo from jumping off tall objects, and changing diapers.  Her hobbies include reading, collecting cloth diapers, bird watching, and couponing.  She has been married to a wonderful man for four years and truly feels that being a wife and mother are the two most important things she will do in her life.  She is an advocate for breastfeeding and would one day love to become a lactation consultant.
