“The Searchers” by Joseph Loconte Book Review

After reading a few reviews on “The Searchers” I was excited to select it as my first review through Book Sneeze.

The excitement ended there unfortunately. I have picked the book up several times, intending and attempting to make it through the book in its entirety. I have been unable to do so.

The book claims to be “A Quest for Faith in the Valley of Doubt”, through the eyes of the men on the Emmaus Road. Yet little of what I did make it through is focused on this account.

Many quotes from movies, other authors, and more are covered. This makes me wonder why this book was written. If I wanted to read another book, or watch a movie I would do so.

I was intrigued with the author’s description and others review’s, but I find that they do not truly depict what you find within the covers of this book.

Reading this book is a like following a rabbit, jumping from one thing to the next thing! There is no fluid thought or process to be found.

I am an avid reader, and do not believe I have ever not finished a book. This is a first for me.
