Today I am going to share a new product with you AND you’ll have the opportunity to win a set yourself!
I am slowly continuing to change things in our home, turning away from chemical laden products and adding natural products in!
I have been using all natural laundry detergent for almost a year, but had not found anything to replace dryer sheets yet. I missed the softness of our laundry badly! I had seen wool dryer balls a few times over the last year, but due to being allergic to wool, I always assumed it was not an option for my family and I.
While going through my Green Moms Network friends blogs, I came across a write up on Woolzies.
I was thrilled to read the following statement:
Q3: If I have an allergy to wool, can I still use WOOLZIES?
I was sold! I couldn’t wait to try them out! I emailed the company immediately and asked if they would be interested in participating in a review and giveaway. I received a timely reply that stated they would love to participate and that my dryer balls would be on their way shortly!
Benefits to using the Woolzies Dryer Balls include; no harsh chemicals, no PVC’s, less static, less wrinkles (which equals less ironing!) and they last A LONG TIME ~ at least a full year or 500 loads of laundry!
Each set comes with 6 Woolzies Dryer Balls. These 6 balls are all placed in each load of laundry. They create space and allow the hot dryer air to circulate throughout the laundry, which they say will shorten your dryer times!
I have been using the dryer balls for almost a week, and am thrilled to say that my clothes are softer already! I am not itchy from the wool at all either.
I have not noticed a shortened dryer time, but I never really paid attention to the time anyways. Laundry had to be done, no matter how long it took.
I love that they are a chemical and fragrance free option to dryer sheets. They also eliminate the need to remember to buy dryer sheets!
Woolzies is part of a small family owned company, in Southern New York State. Their mission is to leave the world in the same condition they received it to their children.
The dryer balls are handmade in Nepal, providing a much needed, steady income to the women in that nation.
I highly recommend these dryer balls as a new addition to your increasingly crunchy household!

I tried plastic dryer balls once and they fell apart! It was very disappointing. These wool dryer balls look like a great alternative. Thanks for sharing your review.

I’ve been using wool dryer balls for about 6 months now. I got them because I couldn’t use fabric softener in the same machine I dried my cloth diapers in. So far, I’ve really liked them. Mine do shed though. I’ll have to check these out when I get ready for a new set!

This would be awesome! I am “kinda” green, as in I avoid the harshest chemicals but compromise a little so my pocket book isn’t shot 🙂 I would love to try these.
