Whoops…Wrong Scripture

So I got up when my lovely alarm called my name this morning

Coffee made, devotion books strewn across the bed

Reading my Good Morning Girls Bible Study

Really thinking and enjoying the scripture used.

After I’d finished my studies, I came downstairs for my morning routine

Facebook, Email, Blog, etc.

I went to the Good Morning Girls FB Group to see if this morning’s verses were posted yet.

They were.

Whoops.

I read the wrong verses!

At first I was disappointed that I missed it.

Then I thought, well it had to happen for a reason!

God spoke to me while reading the verses this morning.

Tonight I will have to read the correct verses.

I read Proverbs 16:13 and 21:15,

Instead of Proverbs 16:3 and 21:5.

God knows!

While reading these verses this morning

and then realizing that they were the wrong ones

for my study.

I know they were what I needed.

Yesterday was a struggle in my home.

The kids have been couped up inside for what seems like weeks.

It has rained for almost 2 weeks.

We are tired of being inside.

We miss the fresh air.

So our home was nothing pleasant yesterday.

Irritability, impatience, not listening, disobedience abounded.

Thankfully, we ended the day well.

Games played, books read, prayers said.

Phew!

I was glad to end the day well and even more glad it was over!

Proverbs 16:13Β

“Righteous lips are the delight of kings; and they love him that speaketh right.”

Proverbs 21:15

“It is joy to the just to do judgement: but destruction shall be to the workers of iniquity.”

So yes, those were meant for me today.

Definitely.

It is so true that what we say needs to be just, with the words we speak

We can delight the “kings” of our home and gainΒ his love by doing so!

My words are not the best of me at times.

I struggle with “speaking rightly”.

My lips need to be covered in kindness,

Speaking the truth in love!

Dealing with difficulties in my home I need to joyfully

Take care of each situation rightly!

The opposite of “speaking the truth in love” is sin,

Which brings destruction.

This reminds me of when there is an argument

And rather responding with a “soft answer”

You snap, and everything goes downhill from there!

I know I desire to speak and run my home rightly

I want to earn the love of my “king” by doing so!

Praying that you will have a blessed day,

Speaking the truth in love!
