Meekness in Our Homes (Series Part 8) with Wisdom Wednesday Link Up

This series has been relocated to my new blog which launches on Jan. 1st, 2014. If you stop by here after the new year, you can read this post there.

The definition of weakness

Want of physical strength; want of force or vigor; feebleness.

It is important to see that meekness is an act of the spirit, while weakness is the lack of physical might.

meekness

Thank you for sharing this sweet reminder. Most days the mornings start with a rush, with 5 girls. This is a great reminder to me when I wake to remember to be meek.

Good reminders, Misty. Especially the one about gentility of words…this is a weakness for me in moments of anger or exhaustion. Yet our words do indeed reflect the internal condition of our hearts…Dear Lord, may the words of my mouth and the meditations of my heart be acceptable to You…Blessings to you and thanks for the link up, too.

Oh yes, I hear you that is often my biggest struggle. My tone and word choice are the areas I must work on daily, and continue to change. Blessings!

Oh yes, remembering that God created us just the way we are, only to desire to change us and better ourselves in Him! Thank you for stoppin by! Blessings!

Thanks for sharing the difference of these two words. I struggled with the word “submission” for a long time too because the world gives it such a negative meaning.

    1. simplyhelpinghim

Oh yes, it is a difficult word. I’ve tackled it recently in a dear sister’s corner, if you’d like to read it you’ll find it here. Blessings!

I am enjoying this series and actually getting some ideas for a homeschool mom who is dealing with the fruits of the spirit.

Oh yes, I too am learning through this series, as I have studied for this series God has been dealing with my heart and in my life. I truly write from where I stand currently, where God is working on me. Blessings hun!

Thank you for your posts on meekness! I love it because it made me contemplate the need to be humble in order to exhibit meekness…it is not weakness…it is humility. Thank you again and blessings to you!

You’re so very welcome! It truly makes you contemplate, for our human flesh would have us believe that weakness is meekness, when indeed it is not. Thank you for stoppin by! Blessings!
