Dear Little Girl

Slow down little one. Enjoy being a little girl. Take time to pick daisies, have tea parties, dance with your daddy, cook with your mommy and love every minute that each day life brings you.

Friends are hard to come by little girl. Girl friends even harder. Find the ones that don’t create drama, and/or don’t run after the boys. These are the friends you’ll hold close for years to come.

Don’t chase the boys. God created them to pursue you, in His time. Be patient. God’s best is better than all the rest.

Keep tight with your family. Second to God alone, they will be there for you through your entire life. They are your very best friends.

Study God’s word daily. You don’t have to read a chapter(s) a day to grow. Start with a few verses. His word will get you through all the dark days in your future.

Stay focused on the Lord. and He WILL give you the desires of your heart. He alone can give you complete fulfillment.

This letter was written as part of Compassion Blog Month.

As Compassion bloggers we are working to get 3,160 children sponsored before the end of September.

Would you pray about touching the life of a child today?

We are blessed to sponsor a little girl, Marjorie in Peru. It is such a blessing to our lives to have a little girl to pray for, write and encourage to seek the Lord.

This message brought tears to my eyes. I have three daughters, all grown now, but wish I could have said this to them a million times when they were growing up. How right on this is! Thanks for sharing it. Helen
