Is His Heart Safe with You? (Part One)

Often times this is something we either don’t think about, or we take it for granted.

Once the “I Do’s” are spoken we belong together, forever……and off we go…..

Life gets busy…kids come along…..time together alone happens less and less….

As life settles in, the newness of our relationship wears off, and we begin to see “flaws” in our spouse.

Somehow the mirror often doesn’t reflect our “flaws” to us……at least unless it’s the dark circles or fine lines beginning to appear.

Proverbs 31:11 ~ “The heart of her husband doth safely trust in her…”

As women we are equipped with more “delicate” and “vocal” emotions. When we are unhappy, most everyone around us knows it. Hence the saying “If Momma ain’t happy, ain’t nobody happy.” When we are upset we “need” to talk to someone.

Talking to Someone is important. Putting our thoughts and feelings into words help us work through things…..

BUT……

Most of the time we talk to the wrong person.

Our best friends and family will side with us 99% of the time. They will hug us and agree we’re in the right, no matter what the situation.

Yet we’re only seeing/telling one side of the story.

Think about it……when was the last time you took your husband with you to talk to them about the “issues” you’re struggling with in your marriage?

See, the very person that we should seek to talk to first knows us best…..for He created us in our mother’s womb.

Our Heavenly Father.

He is unbiased, walks our whole life with us, desires the best for us, and even saves our tears.

Upon His ears our worries and heartache should fall.

For He alone has the perfect answer, no matter what you’re going through.

Your husband’s heart can safely trust in you, when your words regarding him and your marriage fall on God’s ears alone.

Not on your best friend’s. Nor your Mom or Dad.

On God’s alone.

Marriage is a picture of Christ and His Bride, and Satan wants to destroy as many marriages as he can.

~ This post comes from what God has spoken to my heart, about my own life. May God’s words to me, also speak to you ~

** There might come a day when true difficulty crosses your marriage path. In this time, you may need to seek Godly counsel.**

Yes! Good words here and good encouragement to make marriage a true partnership in this way. I want my husband’s heart to feel safe with me.

Oh yes, I believe that every wife would say the same thing, but often we don’t realize the little things we do that can cause them not to feel safe with us. Blessings!

Great admonition! We all need to turn to God first, not as a last resort–in all things.
