Here we go again…..
Now, set your timer, clear your head, for five minutes to just write without worrying if it’s just right or not.
1. Write for 5 minutes flat – no editing, no over thinking, no backtracking.
2. Link back here and invite others to join in.
3. And then absolutely, no ifs, ands or buts about it, you need to visit the person who linked up before you & encourage them in their comments. Seriously. That is, like, the rule. And the fun. And the heart of this community..
Oh and Ahem, if you would take pity and turn off comment verification, it would make leaving some love on your post that much easier for folks!
OK, are you ready? In the spirit of welcoming the 31 Dayers to join us, won’t you please give me your best five minutes on:::
Race…
Race….I am running a race….
To which there is an ultimate prize!
This race is not easy, nor is it fun at times…
It will be hard, it will test me and try me…
Isn’t that what a race does?
It pushes you, tries you, and even provides some pain.
At the end is the “glory”, at the end is the prize…
I am pressing forward to that prize. To His glory.
That is why I run my race….
To see Him face to face.
To be with Him forever in eternity.
Knowing that His glory I will see.
Knowing that being with Him is my prize!
That is enough for me…
This race is long, this race is hard….
Yet the glory and prize have never been better!
He is the reason I must run my race.
My race ends at the home He is preparing for me!
Heaven….
The place I long to see….
When my race is ended….
Race….
I will run my race….
For at the end I will see my Savior’s face!
STOP!

Yes…heaven, the reason we run. To be with Him, to see Him, know Him face to face. This life is the training ground. Enjoyed reading this, blessings!

“The ultimate prize” …I love the reminder of this throughout your post – how it exceeds any prize on earth anyone could possibly offer us for doing well. And how easy it is to forget this truth.

Yes, it truly is the ultimate prize, though it is one we forget as we go through life. Thank you for stopping by! Blessings!
