Simple Saturday

I am so thankful we didn’t have much planned today. I love lazy weekends. I stay so busy during the week, so I love slow weekends to “catch up”. I slept in a bit (until 6am) and enjoyed my coffee, checked my email….Hubby came back from getting his coffee and said, “There are tons of yard sales out, why don’t we get up and go?” The kids and I LOVE to go do this! So I jumped up, got a shower, make up on, and we were out the door by 7:30am! We had a great time and spent almost 2 hours driving around checking them out! We stopped and got breakfast at a local diner. We then came home and the kids and I ran down to the farmer’s market and grabbed our veggies and eggs for the week 🙂 I LOVE going to the Farmer’s Market. I went a bit later than normal and missed out on spinach and carrots, but that’s ok! We had a great time together as a family this morning! Afterward we then went to our other property and spent almost 2 hours weeding the yard. Boo had a great time being “the man” and using the clippers to cut down the thorny bushes/weeds! Peanut ran around just having fun in the yard mostly 🙂 It was a great morning, now onto a quiet afternoon. 🙂

We might be heading to the Drive In tonight, though I’m not sure. It’s on our 100 things to do this for the summer! 🙂

So far we have checked off ~ Bowling, Croquet, Library (we go weekly and volunteer anyways), Farmer’s Market (weekly as well), Mini Golf and a Pillow Fight 🙂 I’m looking forward to checking off the whole list by the end of August! 🙂

Have a simply wonderful weekend!

I love your 100 things to do this summer list! I have been contemplating the creation of a similar list for my kiddos – but we’ve been so darn busy! I think I’ll use yours as a starting place! Thanks for sharing!
    Have a great summer!

Hi, just stopping by to say thank you for your awesome comment on freedom on my blog. I can’t agree with you more and seeing my girl walking in her freedom only encourages me to walk more in HIS freedom. So glad I stopped by. I love your blog. I have been looking over it and I believe we may be kindred spirits… a heart for our husbands, homeschooling Mommies, lover of garage sales, breakfast at local dinners, oh and we have been out all day in our back yard working too. I will definately be back. So glad to have found your corner of the blog world. Blessings!

Freedom is taken for granted by each of us I believe. Both spiritually and in America, being a Navy Brat I am passionate about that subject. Yes it seems we are! How wonderful! 🙂 I love your blog as well! Your daughter is simply adorable! 🙂 I’d love to keep in touch 😉 simplyhelpinghim@gmail.com 🙂 May your day be simply sweet! 🙂
